Story
We are a group of 7 people [6 guys and one very brave lady] who plan to walk the 26 miles including Penyghent, Ingleborough and Whernside on Friday May 11th 2012. As this journey unfolds, 3 things will happen;
First - we will be helping an amazing charity in Stockton on Tees who help young people with controlling addictions like drug and alcohol, plus those whose lives might be at risk of becoming so because of the local environment within which they live [school / home / friends].
Second - we will be getting to know each other! Some of us have not met at all, albeit we have much in common, mid-life being a great start, so this should be a breeze for us fit and 'youthful' folk.
Finally - we will probably [highly likely] suffer painful joints, aching muscle and blistered feet! And that's before we even get to the start line!
Seriously though, we are doing this for a very genuine reason and we want you to be part of it through supporting us all please. The charity, A Way Out, changes lives for the better and we, as a group, feel able to 'step out' - quite literally - to enable A Way Out to reach more people in need - and there are many. Please be generous and keep in touch as we embark on this challenge, and there is no doubt that it will be just that!!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
