Story

It was a crazy idea hatched very many years ago to cycle from my current home in Peterborough back to my birthplace near Solihull and back again.

For a proven cyclist, 160 miles may be no big deal but I'm not a proven cyclist, indeed I don't even own a bike (until today). I'm not unfit but I'm not fit enough to do this without pain but there in lies the challenge !

Attempt one was in 2011, I completed 120 miles but ran out of light. It was a "good effort" but it was a failure. This time it will be all the way even if I have to crawl the last thirty miles!

Having a worthy charity benefiting from the ride simply adds to my motivation during the difficult times so the more I can raise, the more help it will give me !

Thanks for your support.
