Belleveue Mortlakes are hosting a Charity 7-A-Side Tournament on Thursday 5 June 2014 at the Walker Ground in Southgate N14, commencing circa 12 noon.  The event will take place one week before the FIFA World Cup commences.  This forthcoming event, like our previous football events, will comprise 36 teams.  There will also be a large number of spectators, media attendance and various forms of entertainment.  Please go to www.bmortlakes.com and click on our charity page to see details of this and past events.

 

This event’s nominated charity is CHICKS.  CHICKS is a national children’s charity that provides these 8–15 year olds with FREE respite breaks at retreats in Cornwall and Devon.  Each year CHICKS needs to raise £1.3 million and it receives no government funding.  Whilst children are currently being pushed further into poverty, we are trying to provide many more disadvantaged children with the chance to benefit from some positive time away.  CHICKS fundraising efforts are actively supported by their patrons, who include: Jennifer Saunders, Seth Lakeman, Kate Winslet, Alan Titchmarsh, Jenny Agutter, David Gower, Nigel Havers and Ranulph Fiennes.
