Story
This August, I have decided to hitchhike through 16 countries in an effort to raise over £800 for the Our Lady Queen of Peace Mission in Northern Kenya (Turkana).
I spent the summer of 2014 working at the Mission which lies on the border between Kenya and Ethiopia, and in the middle of two warring tribes; Turkana (Kenya) and Dassanech (Ethiopia). The Mission has a School, a farm and a Church within it's grounds. During my time I helped build a dormitory for the children to sleep in at night, taught English in the school and arranged peace meetings between the two warring tribes. The aim is to have children from both tribes educated at the school in an effort to foster peace for the future.
As it costs £200 to send a child to school for a year, the money will be used to send 4 children to school, a girl and a boy from both the Dassanech and Turkana tribes.
I have hitchhiked in the past from Longridge to Budapest, but this is twice as many countries and nearly 5 times longer in distance. Yeah, stupid I know!
I would be grateful if you could donate any amount at all! If money is tight, sharing this page will be more than enough! In the meantime, take a look at where the money is going in the following link.

Thanks, and much love.
