Story
I have been living in Uganda for the last year and a half and Uganda and Gods love for the people of Uganda has taken my heart so much that it daily aches with homesickness for the people who have changed my life. Since coming back to the UK I have prayerfully come to the decision to go back to Uganda again in December. Over the next two years I hope to continue to volunteer alongside local people to build on the work which JENGA has started in the community of Namatala slum, to empower vunerable ladies and their families to step away from addiction and into freedom. Offering a place for women and street children to find support and hope. We will be running AA groups, prayer breakfast and children support centres as well as the empowerment skills training which JENGA provides for the women.
I feel 100% that this is the next step for my life and that God has huge plans to rewrite the life stories of broken ladies. To do this I will need support; whether prayerfully, financially or simply with words of encouragement on the tough days and I would love if you could consider becoming part of this story. Not for me, but for the group of women and children who are considered outcast due to their poverty. The people who have become some of my closest friends and extended family. As I am volunteering I will need roughly £140 a month to live on so any donations are greatly appreciated, or if you would prefer to set up a monthly donation, please contact me. (see below)
If you want to get involved or find out more about what I am doing, please message me or lets meet up for coffee so that I can share more of my story with you. Contact me on rhenderson273@hotmail.co.uk or check out my blog on bexhenderson.wordpress.com.
