Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In November 2015 we lost our beautiful daughter Amber. Throughout her short life she touched so many people and had such an incredible impact on the lives of those around her. While our Bean was with us she braved two heart operations at Leeds General Infirmary. The care and attention we received as a family from all the staff on PICU and Ward 51 should be celebrated, and the facilities available to us during that time wouldn't have been available without the work of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund.
Since November I have found comfort on my bike, giving me the time and head-space to reflect on things and to begin to try and deal with what has happened. To this end I have given myself the challenge of riding over 1,000 kilometres in August 2016. I will aim to complete the challenge at the end of the month by riding from Amber's Tree at Golden Acre Park Leeds to my home village of Willingham in Cambridge, via Lincoln where I met my wonderful wife, Helen.
Please give what you can; any donations will be hugely appreciated and will make a massive difference to families going through such tough times.
Thank you.
