I am part of the Facebook group Brexiters and Remainers United Against Racism and we are fundraising for Migrants Helpline after the racial hate that has been happening around the UK since Thursday's EU referendum. What has happened is beyond disgraceful and needs to stop.

Brexiters and Remainers United Against Racism is a Facebook group that was set up to bring both sides together and show support for the migrants in the UK who have been attacked or feel vulnerable since the referendum. We need to show that at the end of the day we are not a nation of hatred and ignorance as what has been demonstrated by the small minority and that we are stronger united as human beings.

We have chosen to donate to Migrant Helpline as they help vulnerable migrants across the UK feel protected, safe, informed and supported so they they are able to move forward with their lives. Their vision is for a global society that protects vulnerable migrants, treats them with respect and enable them to become successful members of their communities.

Over the past 50 years, Migrant Helpline has developed services and projects based on core belief of listening, understanding and supporting individual vulnerable migrants.
