Bridget worked tirelessly and passionately for Family Rights Group over the last 28 years as a case adviser, legal adviser and since 2004 as Principal Legal Adviser and Deputy Chief Executive. Bridget has had a far-reaching influence on child welfare policy, legislation and practice and has advised thousands of families, including mothers subject to domestic violence who feared their children would be removed into the care system and grandparents who were struggling without any support to singlehandedly raise their grandchildren.
"The help and advice Bridget gave me was invaluable....without her input my local authority would have continued to ignore me, with her...they finally listened and acted. Our lives are better because of Bridget and for that I will be eternally grateful" - grandmother raising four grandchildren.
Bridget was a Trustee of Amnesty International Charitable Trust for the last two years. She was a huge part of the governance team at Amnesty.
Bridget's exceptional legal skills, her passion for human rights and fair process and her sound judgement have had a very significant impact on both charities. Your donation will help to continue her extraordinary work.
