‘Bright Lights’ is a 24-hour static bike ride at Caravelle Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. We will each cycle for an hour to keep the hotel sign on Dong Khoi Street lit by pedal power! The cycling is in the Champagne corner with amongst other leading HCMC luminaries British Consul General, Ian Gibbons launching the event and cycling the first hour.
We are cycling through the night for 24 hours to help raise funds for Newborns Vietnam, which will be used to bring UK University and Hospitals specialists over to train and work with Vietnamese Doctors and Nurses to drive improvement in survival chances of pre term and sick newborns. In Vietnam about 60% of under-five deaths are newborns in their first month of life but most newborn deaths are preventable.
Bright Lights at Caravelle Saigon brings together the international and Vietnamese community in a heroic 24 hours of cycling to make a difference to the life chances of newborn infants in Vietnam.
Our target is to raise $10,000 which will buy 8 weeks of British led training for 24 nurses! Please sponsor the 24 hour heroes and heroines. By helping keep the lights on at the Caravelle Saigon you will help infants survive and keep the lights bright a this lovely hotel . Come and cheer for the cyclist you are sponsoring!
Newborns Vietnam would like to thank the Caravelle Saigon for their wonderful support over many years.
