Brightstar Financial are supporting Saint Francis Hospice by a range of fundraising activities to help contribute towards the funds needed to provide specialist care for those with life limiting illnesses. The hospice not only care for the patients but also support the families and friends in getting through the tough times. Each year the prices of keeping the services fully functional rise. We want to ensure that the hospice can continue to provide its care to those that need it and the chance of giving someone those extra few weeks of precious time with family is at the highest.

The care, love and support that is provided is outstanding. We are hoping to raise awareness for the hospice and help to contribute towards keeping the doors open. All of the services that are provided by the hospice are free of charge.

I have personally experienced the care and love from the hospice. My Grandmother was cared for there, whilst battling bowel cancer, for a few weeks in December 2012, something that she requested when the time got near. As a family we were all able to spend the Christmas period and New Year period in the hospice alongside her whenever we wished. The nurses were all friendly and the care that she received was tremendous; someone was always there and support was also given to us as a family. We strongly believe that her time in the Hospice gave her a little extra strength to be able to come home for a few weeks, where she fell asleep in her home with the family around her.
