Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Young carers are children and young people who look after someone in their family who has a disability, a long term illness, or is affected by mental ill health or substance misuse. Young carers may look after parents, care for a brother or sister, or other relative. The average age of a young carer is 12 and yet they take on responsibilities normally only expected of an adult. We are doing everything we can to support young carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, but your valuable donations enable us to offer much more to make sure young carers don’t feel so alone. For example:
£25 could pay for a young carer to go to a pantomime
£50 could enable 2 young carers to attend a cookery workshop
£75 could help fund inset day training as part of our Young Carers in Education sheme
£100 could fund a family day trip to the zoo
£250 could pay for a young carer to have an activity weekend away
£2,000 could cover the costs of organising an action-packed Fun Day for 80 young carers.
Thank you so much for your support! Please find out more on our website http://www.carerssupportcentre.org.uk/young-carers/
