Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Buccleuch Property Challenge 2016 JustGiving page for ChildLine.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with ChildLine to mark the 10th anniversary of The Buccleuch Property Challenge.  All funds raised this year will be donated to ChildLine (0800111), the UK's free, 24 hour helpline and online service, which provides one of the few safe spaces for children in need.  ChildLine supports young people through its trained, volunteer counsellors who comfort, advise and protect children across a range of issues.

2016 is also a special year for ChildLine, which was founded in 1986 by Dame Esther Rantzen and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in October.  Since then it has helped over 4 million children, with the organisation now receiving 1 call every 20 seconds.

Buccleuch Property's goal is to raise a minimum of £10,000 for ChidLine to mark our 10th anniversary.

Did you know it costs £4 for 1 call to ChildLine?

We will be holding our raffle and auction on the day of The Challenge but in order and at least to meet our target we need to raise £150 per team!  For the mathematicians among us that is only £50 per person...

To do this we would like to suggest the following:-

1.     Ask friends, family and colleagues to donate on this JustGiving page and donate a small sum - even £4, the equivalent of one call would be great!

2.     Alternatively set up your own team's JustGiving page and provide regular updates on training etc to encourage your contacts to sponsor you and support our cause.

3.     Donate by text to 70070, type our unique code BPCX99 followed by any of these amounts £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 and press send.  Why not email all your contacts and ask for just one text?

Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

The 10th Buccleuch Property Challenge is taking place on Friday 9th September 2016.  The event is held at Drumlanrig Castle on the Queensberry Estate in Dumfries & Galloway surrounded by stunning countryside.

This exciting 6 hour non stop adventure race consists of teams of 3 working together across all stages competing against the clock passing different check points.  Activities can include a range of disciplines such as rowing, canyoning, orienteering, mountain biking and swimming!

To register and for further information about the event please visit our website; www.buccleuchproperty.com or contact Joanna Watson, jwatson@buccleuch.com, 0131 524 0910.
