For those who don't know me, I am a volunteer watch leader sailing onboard sail training vessel James Cook. Over the past three years I have been balancing my studies and my sailing life to help 'Change lives, Inspire futures'.

I will be tackling this adventure with another volunteer and good friend, Nick Crownshaw. Nick has been sailing with James Cook for two years and is working towards his watch leader qualification.

This 60 mile passage will take us through 20 miles of canals divided up by 29 locks and 40 miles of Loch Lochy and Loch Ness on our kayak.
