Child Action Lanka works to assist and transform the lives of disadvantaged children in Sri Lanka. We work with street kids and underprivileged children from babies to 18+ and also support the parents and communities. We run holistic education centres around the island. The children receive healthy meals, emotional support, counselling, education, tuition and a safe place to have fun. We offer vocational training and micro credit schemes. We fund books, bags, uniforms and shoes to enable children to go to school. We also run a safe house for women and children at risk, based outside Kandy. Many of the children come from very challenging backgrounds and to see them start to grow and thrive is a privilege. Many see the centre as their ‘safe place’ where they can get the support they need, not just with studies but also emotional help.  The centres reach over 1,200 children.
