Story
Just over a year ago, 35 of you braved the 10 kilometre Great Manchester Run in support of Faith Life's Manchester Life Centre project.
Together we raised enough to start our Feed the 5000 anti-food poverty project, which includes a food bank and a bi-annual hamper outreach initiative. In its first few months Feed the 5000 fed reached 500 people, a figure we aim to double in 2016.
This year we are establishing a Life Skills department to help address the underlying reasons for food poverty. The first part of this is the Job Club, which is due to be launched in May. (If you want to join this or any other project, please contact us here).
None of us are professional and many of us ran for the first time last year. Others ran some great times. Either way, remember: each step we take is helping someone. Together we will make a difference!
