Story

This September, 16 brave Londoners will make an audacious attempt to break the world record for the longest ever continuous 5-a-side match!

The record currently stands at just over 70hrs – almost 3 continuous days of football! The group are aiming to fundraise £30,000 for FBB after witnessing first-hand the invaluable work we carry out supporting disadvantaged young people through the unique FBB Schools programme. The after-school programme currently operates at 8 schools and supports over 170 young people to transform their attendance, behaviour and attitude to learning by putting their passion for football at the heart of their learning.

The 16 players will be required to form 2 teams, with a maximum of 8 in each squad. The whole match will be recorded for official review to ensure that the record has been broken in accordance with Guinness world record rules. It's estimated that each player will run around 150 miles and get just 6-9 hours of sleep over the course of the 72 hours!
