Story
Yulin is not a festival, it is a living nightmare.
Thousands of animals - many of them stolen pets - squeezed into cages so small they can hardly breathe and transported for days, were cruelly beaten to death in front of each other, and later, eaten.
HSI, along with our incredible Chinese partner organisations, rescued more than 500 dogs from trucks coming into the city, and joined in the rescue of hundreds more at the festival itself.
These dogs are now in temporary shelters in China and need veterinary care and food to allow them to recover and be adopted into loving forever homes.
Please make an urgent donation today. Your donation will go directly towards helping HSI, and our Chinese partners, to care for sick and injured rescued dogs, and towards increasing our campaign to bring this horrible trade to an end.
We’ll keep the global spotlight on this suffering and we won’t stop campaigning until China bans this cruelty for good.
Thank you so much for your support.
