Story
The transport provided by Jewish Care Scotland is essential for the welfare of the clients, the majority of whom are elderly and/or disabled and unable to access mainstream transport. Over 9,000 passenger trips are made each year between the three vehicles we currently own. These vehicles are 7, 10 and 14 years old and increasingly in need of costly maintenance.
It is vital for our clients that JCS has safe and comfortable vehicles so they can continue accessing our services. Any reduction in service could place further stress on our clients. This appeal will put in place transport to serve the needs of JCS clients for the next ten years.
We aim to purchase two new minibuses and a wheelchair accessible car. Our goal is £118,000. We have managed to raise a fantastic £104,000 so far and this is the final push to raise the last £14,000.
