Story

All donations to the Sponsored Row 2016 will be split between the KGS Boatclub and YoungMinds charity. YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experiences they campaign, research and influence policy and practice – www.youngminds.org.uk

We are delighted to be supported by alumnus James Cracknell (OK 1990) OBE, former rowing World Champion and double Olympic Gold Medalist.

“The 2k races you see at the Olympics are tough but the pain only lasts for less than six minutes. Seventy kilometres in a day is a real marathon - in fact, it's two! This is especially tough if you’re not a regular rower as is the case with some of the people taking on the challenge of rowing from Henley to Thames Ditton on the 10th.

A tremendous amount of effort will be put in by the rowers and the multitude of people who help make the event possible so please do support us."
