Story
In 2015, the Manchester Central food bank distributed over 1,600 food parcels benefitting approximately 4,000 vulnerable individuals living within Manchester. There was a 50 percent increase in the number of vouchers received from the previous year showing a growing need for the bank’s services. The increasing trend of Manchester households living in unstable conditions combined with the high number of existing clients served by the food bank places substantial demand on the bank’s resources and capacity. In order to ensure effective service delivery to the most vulnerable members of society,we rely on the generous donations of individuals and community groups like you. We appreciate your kind support in helping us to provide life saving support to those in need.
