Story
Thank you for helping us to exceed our £4,000 target. With cash donations, we raised almost £7,000!
Next time you stand outside St. Michael’s Church, pause for a moment and look around you. Apart from a gap in the direction of Manchester, Warhill is encircled by a ring of hills, forming an impressive skyline. To the south west is Werneth Low, then anti-clockwise you can follow it round via Coombes Edge, Mill Hill (almost Kinder!), Bleaklow, Torside, Tintwistle and Hobson Moors, then finally Harrop Edge. A circuit of 54 km (33 miles)!
We’re raising sponsorship money for the work of Mottram Parish Church, as we seek to know Christ and to make Christ known.
This isn’t just about heating our building - we support a range of charities with regular financial gifts, including education and health in Africa, child poverty in India, and mentoring youth in Hattersley. And our volunteers and clergy carry out a valuable pastoral ministry daily in hospitals, homes and schools.
