Visit the charity's profileFollowing the ‘Walk for the Blind 2015’ where nearly 500 partakers engaged in the first ever charity walk facilitated by the Om Saravanabhava Seva Trust UK. £11,728.07 was successfully raised to aid the blind and young victims of the civil war, in Sri Lanka.
The funds supported the partially sighted destitute in giving equal opportunities in every aspect of their lives and education. In particular education materials and school uniforms/shoes were distributed to the following orphanages in Vanni Srilanka: Anbu illam, Chencholai , Bharathi illam & Iniyavalvu illam.
This year with your support, we can reach more blind / partially sighted people/young widows to help them to face their future with confidence. This is only possible with your dedicated participation and fundraising .
Come and join us in the Walk for the Blind 2016 and let us together give a better future for the blind young widows of Sri Lanka and the UK Charity ‘ Action for the Blind People’ .
