Story
Out There is a small Greater Manchester charity. We provide information, support, home visits and a listening ear for families of prisoners who serve their own ‘hidden sentence’, they are often marginalised, impoverished and judged to be guilty by association.
The charity is an initiative of the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul. In our first ten years we have helped 1330 families across Greater Manchester. When families are supported they can turn their lives around. With the help of family members prisoners are much less likely to re-offend.
We ask you to help us in our anniversary year. We want to raise £10,000 to continue our work and help us to provide more services to families. Our service is a vital lifeline, helping families of prisoners to see that life can get better.
Thank you for your support.
