Story

St Raphael’s provides vital care at the end of life, demonstrating the ethos of the hospice movement that everyone should be helped to fully live until they die. The care the hospice offers changes lives, giving comfort, support & hope at an incredibly painful time. We receive many letters of thanks, one of which recently said:

“We would like to thank each & every one of you for the wonderful care you gave to mum & all the family in her last weeks. You let her pass with dignity & for that we will be forever grateful. You are all amazing people & we cannot praise you enough for your hard work & dedication to each & every patient. Mum will be so greatly missed but we know she would be deeply grateful for your care & support for all of us.”

Our team will trek the Great Wall of China for 6 days to help other patients & families in this way. Your support will help us reach our £50,000 target which could pay for a specialist nurse for over 1 year!
