Journey to Idomeni, Greece.
The 1 Syria Relief convoy embarked on its journey to Idomeni on 10 September 2015, comprising 4 vans and a 40ft lorry load of essential goods.
Next Stop: Lesbos
Refugees are still arriving into Europe daily in their thousands, meaning our work will not stop. In the coming weeks, our shipments will leave from Wales and London and head towards Lesbos, Greece – an area which is currently experiencing the highest level of refugees. Syria Relief has also joined together with another group of volunteers from Oldham, ‘Aid 4 Refugees’ to ship 4 container loads of aid destined for Lesbos. The containers are currently in transit and will begin to arrive in Lesbos from 9 November 2015. Our staff and volunteers will fly there to meet the containers and organise distribution.
