Story
April 2016 marks 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare.
Whilst the significance of this could pass many by, especially in the context of urgent global problems, it is our belief that exposure to the works of Shakespeare - holding, as Hamlet says, a mirror up to nature - has helped generations of school children engage more positively with the world around them.
For 50 years (this year) The Globe Players have toured schools presenting Shakespeare to generations of school children. To allow schools to continue to afford this experience we have kept our prices low for several years, and this requires fundraising! We have introduced hundreds of thousands of school children to Shakespeare over the past 50 years...
We would love you to support us...
Whilst all money will come to the charity, if you'd like to show individual support to one of our runners (they are a little competitive!):
