Story
Wetwheels provides water-based activity experiences for disabled people on board our specially designed boats, from centres within local communities. Participants can join us for a one-off trip, or return for multiple trips. Our beneficiaries may be of all ages and impairments - including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities - not just wheelchair users.
Wetwheels was conceived and founded by disabled yachtsman, Geoff Holt MBE. The Wetwheels family has grown to three boats (Solent in Portsmouth, Jersey, and Hamble) and we want to share the excitement of being on the water with even more people.
We would love for all disabled people in the South East to have the opportunity of access to the water. Incredibly, 80 percent of our current vessels' participants have never been on a boat before. When asked why, the reason given is that the opportunity had not existed before.
Please help us to build a new Wetwheels boat that will enrich the lives of thousands!
