Story
In the last week of May I will be attempting to run from Fort William through northwest Scotland to Cape Wrath - 400km in eight days, with over 10,000m of climbing. The hardest day is 68km with 2,400m of climbing - kind of like running a marathon, a half-marathon and a 5k while going up Ben Nevis twice. The day before is 60km and nearly 2,000m of ascent. And the day after is no picnic either.
Sounds tough? Painful? Think I'll want to quit? Doubt I'll make it all the way? You should talk to someone who has MS: they have it tough, they'd rather not have to put up with the drugs, the fatigue, the progressive nature of this disease that lacks a cure, yet they have no choice but to face into life's wind with determination and resilience.
I can only aspire to do the same on my time-limited expedition. The MS Society funds medical research and provides support to sufferers in the meantime. Please help them make a difference. Thank you.
