Fundraising for ACE (Animal Care in Egypt)
Story
Carly and Mathew: a message from the Bride and Groom:
One of the things that brought us together in the early days of our relationship was our shared love of animals. A couple of years ago Carly spent a year living and working in Egypt. It was during this time Carly found out about a small charity called ACE - Animal Care in Egypt - set up by two British ladies who are passionate about the welfare of animals.
ACE works tirelessly to prevent animal abuse and neglect. Through their hard work and perseverance they have set up a centre providing free veterinary care and support to alleviate the suffering and pain of many horses, donkeys, cats, dogs, camels and more. ACE also provides educational programmes to local schools, teaching children to look after their livestock or pets, preventing disease and ensuring the welfare of their four legged friends.
ACE doesn’t have the funding which more established global charities have, and every small donation makes an enormous difference to the work they are able to carry out.
We absolutely do not expect any wedding gifts and are just very grateful that our friends and family have made such an effort to join us on our special day. However, if any of you feel strongly that you want to buy us a gift, may we ask that you consider making a donation to ACE.
