In 2014 a very close friend of mine was diagnosed with leukaemia, very hard and sad times for him, his family and friends.  I achieved my first 10k and approximately £700 in fund raising for leukaemia research in support. Thankfully he has recovered from from the initial treatments but has continued to undergo frequent check ups and ongoing treatment for the illness....two years on! 

 I know most families have been touched by the big C but sometimes the continued impact of an illness is forgotten. I would like to raise money to advance the science around leukaemia and the care for all those how are affected by the terrible disease.
