We carry out practical research to improve quality of life after paralysis

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I currently reside at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville hospital following a mountain bike accident in the French alps where I unfortunately broke my back and am currently paralysed from the waist down.  It's one of only twelve specialist centres in the country and at the forefront of spinal cord injury research and rehabilitation.

Many people have already visited me and shown their love and support, however,  I am not one for receiving gifts of food or stuff. Not that I don't like such things, but I am limited on space and would prefer, if you wish, that a monetary donation were gifted to the NSIC so that they can carry on with their incredible work. Also, every other patient here would benefit from your genorosity too.

It is an NHS institution but does not receive funding from the government and relies on partners and donations. I've been here for only 2 weeks and have already seen the results such donations afford to people's lives to get them back on their feet again.

Hugest thanks.

Chris
