This year, instead of going on holidays myself and Jon have decided to challenge ourselves and walk one of the UK National trails. So for a week in May we are walking the 90 mile Ridgeway Trail from Avebury in Wiltshire to Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire. This trail is one of the oldest roads in Britain and takes in some fantastic countryside, ancient Neolithic monuments, ancient woodlands and wonderful waterways. The challenge bit is walking on average 12 miles a day!

We’re doing this to raise funds for Greyhound Rescue Wales to help rescue, rehabilitate, rehome and support Greyhounds and Lurchers in Wales and help to increase awareness of the wonderful work that Greyhound Rescue Wales have been doing for over 20 years

Jon and I have been part of Greyhound Rescue Wales for over12 years since we adopted our first greyhound called Beauty. We count ourselves lucky to have been part of these wonderful animals’ lives and will continue to do our part to help them to live their life they deserve
