Story

Its 2016 and Colin will hit 60 years of age. So to mark it I am going to Bogota in Colombia, early August, to help finish a school for street children. A party of about 15 people with various skills are leaving the UK in July. I am paying fully for myself and my wife to travel. What I have to do is help pay for the tools and equipment required when we get there. So how am I going to do this…simple; I have entered my first ever full marathon in May, which will be a huge endeavour. An added challenge is when we get there, the whole 2 weeks is alcohol free in respect to children rescued from drink related abuse. So I am offering two reasons to sponsor me:

  1. To
    run the Belfast marathon.
  2. To
not drink for 2 weeks when pretending to be a builder.

I know some will think the second point will be hardest. The group will be doing all sorts of activities to raise money, this is just my contribution. My training has started now and our donating site will have the painful updates. I am not going for a world best just to run all 26.2 miles will be enough.

If you feel you would like to support my little celebration(?) please donate thank you, if not, thank you for reading this note.
