Colum and I are getting married on 15th September 2012 and we want nothing more than our friends and family to celebrate our special day with us.

We are very fortunate to already have everything a couple needs when they are starting out on married life together, so rather than asking for more pots and pans, we are asking you to donate a little something to a very special charity, close to the heart of Colum’s Dad - Trocaire.

Aidan sadly passed away on 19th May 2012, he was loved by so many and will be so dearly missed by us all. Words cannot explain what an incredible, inspirational and kind man he was. He was an amazing person, father, husband and best friend. I feel so blessed that I had the chance to get to know Aidan and although the world is now missing a truly wonderful man, those of us lucky enough to have met Aidan will cherish the memories that we had with him for years to come.

Trocaire works in developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to help families and their communities free themselves from poverty, and lead more dignified lives. In addition, Trocaire campaigns against political oppression and the abuse of women, and seeks to tackle HIV and climate change. They have recently provided emergency relief services to the victims of the Pakistan floods and those touched by the East African food crisis.
