Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for Cosmetology's chosen charity raffle this year - Borneo Orangutuan Survival Foundation.

Since I (Nicola) moved to Borneo Malaysia I didn't have a clue what 'Palm Oil' is.  I pass the palm oil company offices everyday and wondered what everyone meant by 'the loggers' - these are the people who chop down the forests killing anything in site to get there lorries loaded with the fruit of the palm tree.  This fruit is then taken to factories, crushed until they find palm oil or palm gold in there eyes.

After surfing the internet to gain more information I became so upset about reading the traumatic events happening to innocent orangutuan's who once happily lived in what once they called home.

The attitude out here towards animals is not like back home in UK, they don't really care about killing/destroying environment and living species; it's about the money.

Like every year since I opened my business 'Cosmetology' in Dundee, I put some great prizes up for grabs to raise awareness and funds for charity.  I have chosen the Borneo Orangutuan Survival Foundation (BOS) as palm oil is used in certain beauty and make-up products and I feel this fitting with my line of work and industry and now that I am living in Borneo.
