About St. Margaret of Antioch Church, Cowlinge
St Margaret of Antioch Church Cowlinge, spiritually and physically, is maintained wholly by voluntary contribution, and managed through the volunteer members of the Cowlinge Parochial Church Council (PCC).
All our funding for running costs and fabric are met through the kind donations of our members and village parishioners. Most of our income pays for the appointment of our full-time priest who serves six other parishes in order to spread costs and ensure the future of the churches mission and ministry to the villages of our group of parishes, collectively named the Bansfield Benefice.
Our Fabric Fund resources our maintenance and repairs and the Church is now facing major repairs to re-roof both our nave and north porch, which our architect has assessed will cost £215,010. If we, the PCC, are not able to raise the funds to carry out these repairs, further damage will be caused to the fabric and the internal fixtures and fittings of the Church, including important historic wall paintings and our judgement scene above the chancel arch. As such all contributions that are raised through this appeal, no matter how large or small, will be given to the St Margaret of Antioch Cowlinge Fabric fund. Many thanks for your contribution however large or small.
