Story
We are working with Crisis Aid in support of their ‘Keep Syria warm’ project, a nationwide campaign aiming to provide
help, support and aid in Syria. In East London we are in the process
of gathering monetary donations and supplies to send over to Syria. The
organisation has sent 15 containers of supplies so far, with containers
leaving every 4 weeks on average.
We are gratefully accepting donations of the following items: • Non-perishable foods such as rice, pasta, flour, sugar, dry lentils, tinned foods/soups and salt • Baby supplies such as newborn formula milk, baby foods, nappies and bottles • Medicines of any type • Toiletries such as toothpastes, toothbrushes, soap, and feminine products
Donated food items and baby supplies will be used to put together
family food parcels ready for distribution in Syria. All food and
medicines must have at least a six-month shelf life and be appropriately
packaged.
We currently have three drop off locations for Aid:
* Ilford, East London/Essex - Ziko's Coffee Lounge, 236 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1QF, 020 8514 8784.
This drop-off point is open from 12 noon till midnight daily and has a
private car park at the rear for people to drop-off donations.
* Manor Park - Newham Islamic Learning Centre, 56 Church Road, E12 6AF, 07949 641815. Open 2-8pm daily.
*Chingford, North East London - by appointment only.
