Story
On October 20th 2010, my husband Simon Baker and I lost our firstborn son Solomon at birth, which inflicted enough hurt and questions to last a lifetime. But we're not the only ones - every day in the UK 17 babies are born sleeping. The aftercare that we received from the staff at Yeovil District Hospital was outstanding so we are supporting the Flying Colours for Yeovil Women's Hospital to help reinstate the bereavement room where they spent precious moments with our son.
With my good friend Kirsty Biggeneden we have come up with a challenge worthy of your generosity! We will cycle from SANDS (Stillborn and Neo Natal Death Charity) headquarters in central London to Yeovil Women's Hospital in a day. This is 145 miles and as we've never sat on a road bike before, it's pretty mental!
So please dig deep and help support this event to help remember Solomon in a way that will have a positive impact on other people's lives. With big love and thanks!
