Story
On Saturday 12th July I will be walking in the footsteps of Mary Jones.
In 1800, a 15 year old girl from a village in North Wales who in 1800, walked 28 miles to get her own Bible.
She walked it barefoot - I'll be walking it with shoes.
I'm walking it in a day - I don't know how long she took.
She saved for 6 years to get a Bible
I'm using just-giving to raise money and awareness of this epic girl who has inspired so many to get serious about God's word.
All money goes to Bible Society - Mary Jones' little jaunt to Bala inspired Thomas Charles to help make the Bible available all over the world. Four years later, the Bible Society was born.
