Story
Having sailed/raced across 10,600 miles of ocean between October and January, I am now completing the final stages of the Clipper Round the World Race - which will bring my total distance sailed to 18,800 miles.
The final two legs involve sailing through the Panama Canal to New York (May/June), and then crossing the Atlantic from New York to Derry, DenHelder (Holland), finishing in London on 30 July.
It is a lifetime experience that is demanding, enjoyable, a test of endurance, adventurous and memorable. And it is being done for a good cause.
The Cancer Survivorship fund I am hosting is being very generously supported and, as I write, we are two thirds of the way to our target of €15,000. Additional contributions to help us reach the target will be very gratefully received, which can be added on a named or anonymous basis. Simply click through on the DONATE link above.
All contributions will go directly to support people affected by cancer through the care, research and advocacy work of the Irish Cancer Society. Your support will make a difference for many people.
Thank you.
