Thanks for taking the time to visit the Dundee Children's University JustGiving page.  Please note that whilst Abertay University hosts this JustGiving page, ALL monies donated go directly to Dundee Children's University.

Dundee Children's University is a partnership programme between Abertay University, University of Dundee and Dundee and Angus College, directly tackling the challenge of raising aspirations and attainment among our local school children.

The money you donate will go towards enabling the most disadvantaged children to participate in this programme, as well as providing children with sometimes life-changing learning experiences that they may otherwise never get the opportunity to have.  The money raised will also celebrate the children's successes at fun, memorable and inspiring Dundee Children's University graduations where they will receive certificates for their out of school learning - from the National Bronze Award for achieving 30 hours of accredited learning right up to National Gold Fellowship for achieving 1000 hours! There are 30 levels of achievement certificates, as well as Honorary awards for Outstanding Commitment and Outstanding Achievement.

Working together the three Dundee academic institutions are promoting social mobility in line with the Scottish Government's objectives, by supporting high quality, exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences, and engagement with the wider community as learning partners in this process.  Most importantly we are encouraging a lifelong love of learning and a sense of ownership of personal development among children from 7-14 years, many of whom come from among the least advantaged parts of our local community.
