Story
Brief History
Ebrahim College (EC) is an institute of higher Islamic learning that aspires to operate as a fully-fledged Islamic university complete with a reputable research portfolio. It began in 2003 as an Islamic Seminary offering A levels with Islamic Sciences to full time learners, and flexible, structured short courses to part time learners. Some of the graduates of EC’s Alimiyyah programme are now active Imams, teachers and young religious and community leaders.
Progress & Ongoing Activities
EC’s full and part-time, ‘Arabic Intensive’ and full-time ‘Alimiyyah’ programmes, are now increasingly popular with talented young men and women, who will soon be the leaders, teachers and imams of tomorrow. Our flexible Islamic short courses, on campus, in other cities and countries (seminars), and online, are attended by almost 5000 adults per year. We remain, as ever, committed to producing people of knowledge and removing the barriers that obstruct knowledge.
Future Plans
How you can support EC this Ramadan:
EC is now one of the largest Islamic educational institutes in Europe. This year we want you to support our full-time Arabic Intensive and Alimiyyah students by helping them cover the cost of their education. Donate £800 towards one student.
Or you can help secure our long term future by ensuring there is regular support that covers the size and growth of the organisation. Become a permanent supporter and join the Badr 313 by donating just £313 pounds per year. Please sign up to one of these two campaigns this Ramadan.
