We, the Swannack family, are raising money for Victim Support in memory of a wonderful mum, nan and friend. Eileen was on holiday in Tunisia, a place that she loved, with her partner John when their lives were brutally taken from them by a gunman on the beach. The past year for us has been that hardest of our lives and we are still trying to come to terms with why this had to happen to our family and why such a wonderful person had to be taken from us in such a cruel way, however Victim Support has played an important part in helping us to deal with what has happened. Victim Support is a charity that supports people who have been bereaved through murder and manslaughter, it is a charity that most people are lucky to go through their lives without ever needing, however the World today makes it clear that it is such a valuable charity and there will be many more families that will sadly go through the same heartache we have been through and we want them to have the same support that we have had. We of course feel like the unluckiest people to have had this happen to our family, but we do feel incredibly lucky to have had Victim Support there for us anytime we need them, we honestly don't know what we would have done without Victim Support however we know we wouldn't have come as far as we have.
