We fund medical research to make myeloma history

Story

Many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Just over three years ago my mother Ann Chambers was diagnosed with a rare form of incurable myeloma bone cancer, it was a mind blowing shock for her and all the family. She is a loving wife, mother and doting Grandma. A true Mother hen. Over this period of time she has bravely undergone many treatments including stem cell transplant but sadly none have stopped the progression of her cancer. She is now approaching end of life which  is heart breaking for our family and many friends.

Myeloma UK are a self funding charity who rely totally on the generosity of kind hearted people for voluntary donations to fund the on going  genetics research of this incurable cancer and to support the patients and families who are affected by Myeloma. Make no mistake at this present point of time Myeloma is incurable and it is reported that the disease is now affecting over 4800 people every year. Please take a look at the Myeloma Uk Charity link on this page to find out more about this awful cancer.

Myself and a group of very good friends in way of thanks to the Doctors,Nurses and staff of the Rosin Unit at our local Hospital felt we must do something to help the charity that has helped my Mum and all the people who are diagnosed with this incurable and debilitating cancer. My Mum is a lovely lady and many of my friends who are taking part in this challenge have known her since their teenage years.  We intend to complete the national 3 peaks challenge on June 3rd this year 2016 and hope to raise £10000.00 for the Myeloma charity. Can you help us achieve our goal?

Hopefully my mother (Ann) will be here to see us do it. Thank you. Ellis
