<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>This summer I have taken on a challenge like never before. Along with a group of friends from Durham University, I will be embarking on the adventure of a lifetime as I cycle from London to Istanbul. Ridiculous? Impossible even? You haven't seen anything yet....<br><br>To put the sheer scale of the challenge into perspective, I will be covering 3000miles in 60 days in an average heat of +35 degrees. This means I will be cycling approximately 100kms a day, with a tent, spares, clothing and water strapped to my bike. Oh, and there is the small issue of mountain ranges to conquer along the way...<br><br>As a team, we are supporting 4 different charities, including 'The Soldier's Trust' and 'Meningitus UK'. I am particuarly supporting two charities:<br><br>1) Unseen (uk)- A charity which works to disrupt and combat Human Trafficking at all levels, desiring to see women who have been victim to this kind of exploitation regain their dignity and strength.<br><br>2) The Cancer Care and Haemotology Fund (Stoke Mandeville)- This unit works to provide holistic care for both cancer patients and also their familes. I believe whole heartedly in the work that CCHU undertake on a daily basis, by not only providing medical care, but emotional support, guidance and a calm, comforting environment. The service they provide means that many patients are able to continue to live at home throughout their treatment. As a number of close friends have been affected by cancer and have benefitted from the treatment they have received thanks to this fund, I am proud to ask for support on their behalf. <br><br>Thanks once again for your support- any donation, however small really will make a difference.<br><br>All my love,<br><br>Esther x</p>
