Evelyn Buchan was a remarkable woman in so many ways. One of her favourite pursuits was raising money for good causes with her friends in the Beta Sigma Phi group in Liverpool from the 1960s until recently. Even last year they helped me to raise funds for Marie Curie and the Roy Castle lung cancer charity in two marathons. Sadly, Mum lost her battle with lung cancer on the 10th of February 2013. In the preceeding three months the St Ann's hospice at home team enabled us to care for Mum at home in Altrincham, where we had some good times. The pictures on this page are from those times.
