Story
Assalaamu'alaikum everyone, it's well into Ramadhan now and I hope everyone is fully immersed in the glad tidings of this blessed month. On the 8th of June, I set out to raise funds for the UK charity Orphans in Need, to build a new orphanage called the Baitul Umar Tuffail Hussain, Kashmir Orphan's Home.

Decades of war and poverty have left this region in need of desperate help, however it's rarely at the centre of media attention and as a result misses out on our help. The Centre of Excellence they are building wants to give children a chance to be housed well, enjoy nutritious food, clothing and medical care, have access to a high standard of education and live in a family community. Everything we would want for our own children right?
The Prophet (saw) said, "I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." [Saheeh al-Bukhaari]
I made the intention for us to raise £10,000 and Alhamdulillah with His help and your generosity, we're already halfway to our target. To raise even more funds, I've designed and created a range of Eid cards of which all proceeds will go to Orphans in Need. They are perfect to send Eid greetings to your nearest and dearest, a great way to maintain good family ties.
To buy your cards is simple. Visit www.fortydaysoffundraising.weebly.com complete your purchase on this site. Using the your order confirmation number as a donation reference, donate £5 per set of cards on the dedicated JustGiving page, www.justgiving.com/fortydaysoffundraising. This gives the opportunity to increase donations by adding Gift Aid too.
Please buy a set or two (or more!) and spread some Eid happiness around your loved ones while also contributing to the happiness of the children of Kashmir. We are in the blessed month of Ramadhan and promised multiple rewards for our good deeds, so please give whatever you can. May Allah bless and reward you all for your help and duas.
JazakumuAllahu khayran and Eid Mubarak in advance,
