Me and Fehzan will be joining an aid deployment with SKT Welfare In Sha Allah in August to distribute much needed aid to Syrian Refugees. This is an appeal where I want you to look at your hearts and test how much you can open them.

As part of the human race we can sometimes not realise that there are people in the world who are suffering in the millions. The Syrian Crisis is worse than ever with children growing up and raised in tents because of a war they did not participate in.

Put yourselves in their shoes and imagine how you would feel losing everything you have worked for, lost your loved ones, living with horrific injuries and forced to cope with the mental strain of the atrocities you have seen and ending up in a cold tent amongst thousands of tents where resources are scarce. Imagine the hunger in your stomach as you scrounge whatever you can.

Now imagine you receive a box from an organisation with food, water, and sanitary supplies. 

YES even sanitary supplies are scarce!

£50 would provide a box to feed a family of 5 for one month

Picture how you would feel receiving this box of desperately needed aid. 

The moment of seeing that box you would automatically pray for the person that contributed towards that aid. The prayer of the oppressed is stronger. You would rejoice and show your children the help you have received. 

There would be someone living thousands of miles away gracious of your generosity towards their dire situation.

Just that feeling of satisfaction to help a fellow human in need should be enough reason for you to donate.

We will not only be giving food packs out but will also funding other SKT projects such as hospitals and family centres

Any amount your heart and situation can muster would be sufficient. Every penny counts.  So do not be discouraged by giving less than a days wage because it is your intentions that count.
