We rescue unwanted dogs to find loving new homes for them

Story

Hi Folks!

Thanks for visiting my page, I really appreciate any support I can get for this expedition – it’s going to be tricky! What I really want to do is get the full 83 miles done as quick as I can, but with camping equipment, food and a dog in tow I don’t know how fast this will actually be!

All the proceeds from this expedition will be going to Animal Helpline for the Wansford shelter with a view to be spent on a new kennel. I have also pre-invested in an agility set which the shelter will be able to use at their disposal to keep the dogs (and volunteers) entertained and unleash their inner athlete!

So far I have managed to raise £320.50 just from a sponsorship form, ideally I would like to hit £500 (my initial target of £1,000 might have been a touch ambitious!). Any donation you can afford would help me to reach my target and get the very best for these lovely pups!

I have yet to choose a dog to come with me on the walk, I will need to choose carefully. A dog with oodles of energy, good map-reading skills and long legs (apparently some bits can be swampy!) and the ability to lift the mood when I am feeling like it will never end would be advantageous … failing this a walking and camping companion will do just fine!

Thanks again in advance of your support, I am really looking forward to it now!

We are an independent 'last resort' dog rescue centre and our aim is to rescue unwanted dogs and seek loving new homes for them. Many dogs would have been destroyed had we not intervened and offered them a lifeline and the chance of a life with new, loving owners.
