In memory of Amy Stew-Gregory, who lost her brave fight with cancer on 8th May 2016, aged just 40, friends and family are running the Birmingham half marathon on 16th October.
As a group they've come together to raise funds for the Georgina Unit at Russell's Hall Hospital, Dudley where Amy received the majority of her treatment. The doctors, nurses and support staff do an amazing job in treating the patients who face the battle of their lives. The charity that Amy's Army is raising money for gives that extra little something that the NHS can't provide, which makes those battles a little easier to bear.
Amy touched many lives in her all too short time and that is shown in the mixture of friends that have come together to raise funds in her name, some with no previous running experience. They all appreciate whatever you can give to support them in this fund-raising effort.
The biggest thank you will come from Amy's four year old daughter, Florence, who will grow up being very proud of the legacy her mummy left.
